A handmade German Korth PRS 1911 in .45 ACP with a 4.25-inch Commander-length barrel. Finished in a two-tone copper-brown slide over a gold frame with wood grips.
Most 1911s settle for blued steel and call it a day. This Korth PRS does the opposite. The slide wears a warm copper-brown anodized finish, the frame runs a contrasting gold tone, and the two play off each other in a way that shifts under light rather than sitting flat. It's a German-built 1911 from Waffenfabrik Korth, the same house known for its revolvers, and the attention they pour into those guns carries straight into this pistol.
Look closely at the surface work. The slide carries Korth's signature dimpled panels front and rear, machined rather than cut, giving you grip and a visual texture you won't find on a production gun. The grip frame is checkered in that same gold tone, and the front strap and mainspring housing wear matching pebbled texture. The wood grip panels bring warmth to the metalwork, their grain running rich against the copper slide. A skeletonized trigger and hammer, an extended beavertail, and a tasteful slide cut round out the build.
The barrel reads 4.25 inches, a Commander-length tube that trims the profile without giving up much sight radius. There's a light rail molded into the dust cover and a stepped, almost architectural muzzle treatment up front. The bushing and recoil plug show bright stainless against the colored metal. Chambered in .45 ACP, marked .45 Auto on the barrel hood, with CIP proof stamps confirming its German origin.
Every one of these carries a Korth factory tag signed by the gunsmith who built it and the inspector who approved it. That hand-finished pedigree is the point. This isn't a parts-bin 1911 dressed up in color. It's a cohesive piece from one of Europe's most exacting makers, and the copper-and-gold treatment makes it one you won't see twice on the same range.
