Korth PRS 4.25 Inch Gold and Black

Korth doesn't build many 1911-pattern pistols, and when the PRS does come out of Ratzeburg, it rarely looks like this. The slide wears a gold anodized finish set against a deep black frame, and the contrast does exactly what Korth intended. It pulls your eye straight to the machining. Those raised hemispherical dimples milled directly into the slide flats are the PRS signature, and against the gold they read as crisp and deliberate rather than busy.

This is the shorter 4.25 inch configuration, chambered in .45 ACP. The reduced length tightens the profile without giving up the dense, planted feel the platform is known for. Korth machines these from solid stock, and you feel it in the hand. The flat-faced skeletonized trigger, the beavertail grip safety, and the contoured controls all reflect the kind of fit you only get from a shop that treats every pistol as a one-off build. Each PRS leaves the factory with a handwritten tag listing the gunsmith who built it and the approver who signed off.

The grips are black aluminum machined with the same circular dimple pattern carried on the slide. They tie the package together and give the hand something aggressive to lock onto. Up front you get a recessed crowned muzzle and a full-length accessory rail integrated into the frame. The barrel is marked .45 Auto, and the frame carries the Waffenfabrik Korth Germany roll mark.
