Korth PRS 5" Gold and Black .45 ACP

Korth built its name on revolvers, so a 1911 wearing the Korth roll mark already turns heads. This is the PRS, the German maker's take on the platform, and it arrives dressed in a two-tone scheme that you either love on sight or you don't. The slide wears a bright gold anodized finish over a black frame, with the deep stippled dimple patterns at the front and rear that Korth uses in place of conventional cocking serrations. Those dimples catch light in a way flat serrations never do.

The build is what you would expect from Waffenfabrik Korth Germany, and the frame is stamped exactly that. Tight slide-to-frame fit, a crisp single-action trigger with a skeletonized shoe, an extended beavertail safety, and a flat mainspring housing checkered to match the front strap. The grips are red and black G10 cut in a layered scale pattern, aggressive enough to lock into your palm without chewing it up. Up top sits an adjustable target rear paired with a fiber front, and the muzzle carries Korth's removable barrel weight system that bolts to the dust cover.

That weight matters. It's the heart of the PRS concept, adding mass right at the front end to keep the muzzle flat through a .45 ACP recoil cycle. The instructions for mounting and removing it ship right in the case, so you can run the gun with or without it.

This one comes complete in its fitted Korth case with the factory paperwork, the gunsmith inspection tag showing who built and approved it, and the Korth branded accessories. Korth makes these in small numbers, and the gold and black PRS is one of the harder finishes to track down. For a collector who already has the German revolvers and wants the 1911 to sit beside them, this is the piece that completes the shelf.
