The Kimber 2K11 Pro Comp is a compensated double-stack carry pistol chambered in 9mm. It has a ported 4.25-inch barrel and a black DLC finish.
Kimber introduced the 2K11 in late 2024 as its double-stack take on the 1911, adding modern touches like an external extractor and a factory optic plate for RMR-footprint red dots. The 2K11 Pro Comp takes the ported Comp and shortens it for carry.
This is the black configuration. It's a 9mm with a 4.25-inch barrel that has an integrated forward port to help keep the muzzle flat. The barrel is fluted and ramped with 5R rifling. The frame and slide are stainless steel with a black DLC finish, which is hard wearing and gives the gun a clean, dark look.
Kimber fits a Stan Chen Customs magwell, which is a nice touch on a carry gun because it speeds reloads without being oversized. There's a toolless guide rod for easy takedown, an external extractor, an ambidextrous thumb safety and a bumped grip safety.
The grips are a carbon fiber and glass matrix, and the trigger is Kimber's aluminum GT Match Grade unit with a 3 to 4 pound pull. The front sight is a TAG FiberLok 2, and the rear uses an adjustable cover plate. An RMR adapter plate is included, along with extra red and black fiber inserts.
It measures 7.79 inches long, 5.76 inches tall and 1.53 inches wide, and it weighs 33.4 ounces with an empty magazine. Kimber includes two 19-round magazines.
If you want the flat-shooting benefits of a ported barrel in a double stack that's still reasonable to carry, the Pro Comp is a smart middle ground in the 2K11 line.
