The Kimber 2K11 Eclipse is a double-stack 1911-style pistol chambered in 9mm. It has Kimber's Eclipse finish with brush-polished flats.
Kimber introduced the 2K11 in late 2024 as its double-stack take on the 1911, adding modern touches like an external extractor and a factory optic plate for RMR-footprint red dots. The 2K11 Eclipse brings back one of Kimber's best-known finishes on the new double-stack platform.
The Eclipse look is a black KimPro finish with brush-polished flats, so the sides of the slide show bright steel against the dark finish. The barrel is black DLC. It's a classic two-tone style that many Kimber fans will recognize.
This is the base configuration in 9mm. It has a 5-inch fluted, ramped barrel with 5R rifling and an external extractor. The frame is stainless steel with a stainless sub-frame, and the slide is stainless steel. The grip module is MJD Kevlar carbon fiber, and it has a tapered magwell to guide the magazine.
The trigger is Kimber's aluminum GT Match Grade unit with a 3 to 4 pound pull. The thumb safety is ambidextrous, the grip safety has a memory bump, and an accessory rail sits under the dust cover. Kimber also uses a patent-pending toolless guide rod with a 10-pound recoil spring.
The front sight is a TAG FiberLok 2 and the rear position uses a fixed cover plate. An RMR adapter plate is included for an optic. It measures 8.56 inches long, 5.74 inches tall and 1.4 inches wide, and it weighs 35 ounces with an empty magazine. Kimber includes one 17-round and two 20-round magazines.
