The Kimber 2K11 Comp is a compensated double-stack 1911-style pistol chambered in 9mm. It has a ported 5-inch stainless barrel and ships with an RMR optic plate.
Kimber introduced the 2K11 in late 2024 as its double-stack take on the 1911, adding modern touches like an external extractor and a factory optic plate for RMR-footprint red dots. The 2K11 Comp is the full-size compensated version, and Kimber built it to be its flattest shooting, most accurate and highest performance competitive handgun.
This is the base stainless configuration. It's a 9mm with a 5-inch stainless barrel that has an integrated forward port, which works as a compensator to hold the muzzle down. The barrel is fluted and ramped, with 5R rifling. The frame and slide are stainless steel with a matte finish.
The trigger is Kimber's aluminum GT Match Grade unit with a 3 to 4 pound pull. The thumb safety is ambidextrous and the grip safety has a memory bump to make sure it disengages with a firm grip. Custom 2K11 serrations on the slide give you plenty to hold onto when you rack it.
The grips are a carbon fiber and glass matrix, a light, grippy material. Up front is a TAG FiberLok 2 sight that comes with red and black fiber inserts. The rear sight position uses an adjustable cover plate, and an RMR adapter plate is included for an optic.
It measures 8.56 inches long, 5.76 inches tall and 1.53 inches wide, and it weighs 35.6 ounces with an empty magazine. Kimber includes one 17-round and two 20-round magazines.
