The Jacob Grey Nox 9 Limited is a 9mm 2011-style pistol built for USPSA Limited Optics competition. It runs without a compensator and has a billet steel frame.
The Nox 9 Limited is Jacob Grey's competition version of the Nox 9, set up for USPSA's Limited Optics division. That division doesn't allow compensators, so this pistol runs naturally aspirated. There are no ports and no comp, just a clean barrel and a heavy steel frame doing the work.
Jacob Grey builds it in Prosperity, South Carolina. The frame is fully CNC-machined from billet steel. The grip is billet aluminum with a hard-coat anodized finish and an aggressive, patent-pending texture. It's meant to lock your hand in place during fast strings of fire.
The 9mm barrel is stainless steel with a 1:10 twist and a Canyon Copper PVD coating. The controls are heat-treated tool steel in the same copper finish, which gives the Limited the same look as the rest of the Nox family. Both the slide and frame get an ArmorLube treatment, and the fit between them is held to very tight tolerances. The result is a slide that moves smoothly with very little play.
For sighting, the pistol comes with an RMR-footprint optic plate already installed. This is the only plate currently offered for the Limited, so you'll want an RMR-footprint red dot.
You can order it with 17-round or 10-round magazines, depending on where you live and how you plan to use it. Jacob Grey sells the Limited through its dealers. If you shoot Limited Optics, or you just like a 2011 without a comp hanging off the front, this is the Nox built for you.
