Infinity Firearms Zombies 2011

If you know 2011s, you know the name, Infinity. Built in-house by Strayer-Voigt in Texas, these pistols are considered by many serious shooters to be the top of the double-stack race-gun world, and the Zombies build makes that case well. This one is set up as a true Limited Optics competitor, with the slide cut and fitted to hold a Trijicon SRO right into the top end rather than perched on a bolted-on plate. That kind of fitting takes real skill. Every dovetail, screw hole, and mounting surface gets machined to hold tolerances tighter than a thousandth of an inch.

The frame and slide start as solid blocks of 4340 steel, then get cryo-treated to lock in strength before final machining. That's a slower, pricier way to build a gun, but it's how Infinity holds its reputation. The grip and slide carry the shop's Invader serration pattern, a sharp, aggressive texture that keeps your hand locked in place shot after shot, set against a deep, DLC-style black finish.

Infinity doesn't mass-produce these. Builds like Zombies go up for a short window through the shop's GunBuilder program, and once the slots fill, that's it: no waitlist and no second run. Collectors and match shooters both chase these drops because a finished Infinity in hand beats almost anything else on the 2011 market in terms of fit and feel.

This isn't a safe queen. It's built to run, to eat rounds on a USPSA stage and come back the next weekend for more, but the fit and finish put it well past what most shooters ever get to handle. Pick it up, and the slide-to-frame fit alone tells you how it was built. For anyone serious about race guns, this is about as good as the category gets right now.
