A West German HK P7 PSP in 9mm with a factory-style threaded barrel earning its SD designation. Built in Oberndorf in 1985 with the squeeze-cocker action and gas-delayed blowback system.
Look at the muzzle on this one. That bright stainless threaded extension poking out from the squeeze-cocker frame is what earns this P7 its SD billing among collectors, and it changes the whole character of the gun. Most P7 pistols you find wear a flush fixed barrel. This one carries a threaded muzzle made to accept suppressor hardware, a configuration HK never produced in volume for the commercial market.
Underneath the threading, it's a standard P7 PSP built in Oberndorf. The slide is roll-marked HECKLER & KOCH GMBH, OBERNDORF/N, MADE IN W-GERMANY, 9mm x 19, which places production before German reunification. The frame proof and date code read 11/85, so this is a 1985 gun. The grip carries the molded HK P7 logo at the heel and the heavily stippled polymer panels that the early single-stack guns are known for.
The action is pure P7. Squeeze the front strap and the striker cocks. Relax your grip and it safely decocks. That gas-delayed blowback system runs off a piston tapping gas from the chamber to retard the fixed barrel, which is part of why these shoot so flat. The single-stack magazine holds eight rounds of 9mm.
Finish is the deep HK black on the slide and frame furniture, with honest light wear on the high edges and a few handling marks across the flats. The bore looks clean. The threaded section shows in-the-white stainless against the blued slide, an unmistakable visual tell from across a room.
It comes with the original HK box, the printed P7 manual, a spare magazine, the bore brush, and the takedown tool. For a P7 collector who already has the standard guns, the SD threaded configuration is the one that's genuinely hard to track down. This is your chance at it.
