An extremely early HK P7 M13, factory marked 'Training Program Weapon' on the slide. Chambered in 9mm with walnut target grips, cased with manuals, tools, and original polymer grips.
Here's a P7M13 that sits at the very front of the production line. It's one of the earliest M13 pistols HK built, which alone would make collectors look twice. But the slide also carries a second marking that changes everything. Just above the H&K address, it reads Training Program Weapon. These were factory pistols set aside for HK's own institutional and instructional use, not sold through normal commercial channels. Finding one is rare. Finding one this early is rarer still.
The pistol itself is the classic M13 layout. It's a 9mm squeeze-cocker with the gas-delayed blowback system that made the P7 famous, and it feeds from a double-stack 13-round magazine. That higher capacity was the whole point of the M13 over the M8, and HK reshaped the frame, locking geometry, and firing pin bushing to accommodate it. You also get the ambidextrous magazine release behind the trigger guard, the polymer heat shield, and the narrower trigger that M13 owners tend to prefer.
What really sets this example apart is the dress. The factory polymer grips have been swapped for a set of finely stippled walnut target grips wearing a gold medallion. The slide shows an honest matte finish with light handling wear, and the controls retain deep black. The frame carries an HK Chantilly VA import mark.
The package is complete. It comes in its leather presentation case with the original black HK plastic box, two manuals, the cleaning tools, and the factory polymer grip panels so you can return it to standard trim whenever you like. For an HK collector, this is about as good as P7 provenance gets.
