A Korth PRS 1911 in .45 ACP wearing a gold anodized finish with a contrasting black barrel weight. Built in Germany with a match trigger, LPA adjustable sights, and Korth's signature dimpled serrations.
Korth doesn't build many 1911s, and the ones they do build look nothing like anyone else's. This PRS in .45 ACP is a case in point. The gold anodized frame and slide carry a dimpled golf-ball pattern across the front and rear cockserrations, a texture Korth uses instead of the usual flat-cut grooves. Run your eye down the slide and you'll see it repeated on the dust cover and the mainspring housing. It's a signature look, and the warm gold tone plays off the off-white grip panels in a way that reads deliberate rather than loud.
The five-inch configuration here carries a black barrel weight at the muzzle, bolted to the underside of the dust cover. That black anodized block anchors the front end and shifts the balance forward, which is exactly what a competition shooter wants for fast recovery between shots. The contrast also breaks up the gold and gives the pistol a purposeful stance. Up top sits a fully adjustable LPA rear sight paired with a black post front.
Look closer and the German build shows itself. The slide wears the script Korth logo, the frame reads Waffenfabrik Korth Germany, and the chamber is marked .45 Auto with the CIP proof. The trigger is a skeletonized aluminum match unit, the hammer is a Commander-style skeleton, and the beavertail grip safety, ambidextrous thumb safety, and aggressively checkered front strap all point to a pistol built for serious use.
This one ships cased and complete. You get the fitted Korth box, the model manual, the sight adjustment tool, hex wrenches, and the factory hang tag signed off by the gunsmith and the approving inspector. For a collector who already has the usual American custom 1911s, a Korth in gold is the one that nobody else at the range will be carrying.
