Korth PRS 4 Inch Gold .45 ACP

Korth is a name people know from revolvers, the kind that cost more than most safes are worth. The PRS is the company's 1911, and this one wears a full gold finish across the slide and frame. That alone makes people stop. But look closer and the detail is in the machining, not the color.

The slide carries Korth's signature dimpled cocking serrations, front and rear, in raised relief rather than cut grooves. The dust cover runs flat with a single accent flute, and the magazine well opening is beveled clean. Up top you get a notch rear with a fiber optic front sight set into the slide. The grip frame mainspring housing and front strap wear the same dimpled texture as the slide, machined directly into the gold.

The barrel is left bright stainless and shows through a generous ejection port. You can read 45 Auto stamped on the chamber hood. The frame carries the Waffenfabrik Korth Germany roll mark along the dust cover, with the German CIP proof marks present on slide and frame. Controls run in black, the thumb safety, slide stop, and grip safety all standing out sharp against the gold.

The grips are smooth white panels, faux ivory, fixed with gold slotted screws. Against the dimpled gold frame the contrast reads clean and deliberate, a nod to old European sporting pistols done in a modern way. The skeletonized trigger and hammer round out the build.

This one comes new from Korth with its factory hangtag still attached, hand signed by the gunsmith who built it and the inspector who approved it. It ships in the Korth wood presentation case with the branded cleaning rod and a Korth bullet keychain. For a collector who wants a 1911 that nobody else on the line will have, this is the German shop at its most unapologetic.
