The Brand X Standard Rifle is a 5.56 AR-15 with a matched billet upper and lower joined by the X Lock system. It has a cold hammer-forged barrel and a taper lock gas block.
Brand X designs its rifles in Las Vegas, and the Standard Rifle is its core AR-15. It uses several of Brand X's own patent-pending parts.
The Standard is offered in 5.56 with two barrel choices: a 12.5-inch barrel with a mid-length gas system, or a 14.5-inch pin-and-weld barrel with an intermediate gas system. The barrels are cold hammer forged from 4150 CMV steel with a 1-in-8 twist and a QPQ finish.
The upper and lower are a matched billet set joined by Brand X's X Lock system, and the lower is fully ambidextrous. The gas block uses a proprietary taper lock design built to prevent gas leakage, and the free-floating handguard has an integrated Arca rail and a patent-pending anti-rotation locking system.
The bolt carrier group is mil-spec, phosphate coated and chrome lined with a staked gas key, and each one is test fired. The rifle uses an H2 buffer with a flat wire spring. At the muzzle is Brand X's Rook flash hider, with an X taper for suppressor mounting.
The trigger is a two-stage match unit. The stock is from B5, and the grip is Brand X's Die Free Kungfu design with a heat-dissipating textured grip tape that you can customize. The receivers have a Type 3 clear anodized finish, and a yellow sling comes standard.
