A handbuilt German Korth PRS 1911 chambered in .45 ACP with the maker's signature golf-ball slide serrations. Finished in matte black with figured walnut grips, an integral light rail, and adjustable LPA target sights.
Korth built its name on revolvers that cost more than most people's cars, so when the Ratzeburg shop turned its hand to the 1911 platform, it did not build an ordinary government model. This PRS in .45 ACP is the proof. Look at the slide and the first thing you notice is the dimpled golf-ball serration field, a pattern unique to Korth that you will not find on any other maker's gun. It runs front and rear, gives the hand real purchase, and reads as pure Korth the moment you pick it up.
The build is handmade in Germany, and the factory tag confirms it down to the gunsmith who assembled it and the inspector who signed it off. That kind of paper trail follows every gun out of the manufactory. The slide carries the Korth script on the flat and the Waffenfabrik Korth Germany rollmark along the frame, with the .45 Auto caliber stamp showing through the ejection port.
The finish is a deep matte black across slide and frame, even and clean, set against richly figured walnut grip panels with a touch of burl in the grain. An integral light rail sits forward of the trigger guard, and the muzzle end wears a distinctive squared bull barrel arrangement with twin hex screws. Up top is an adjustable LPA target rear sight paired with a dovetailed front, giving you a serious sight picture for a gun this refined.
Controls follow the 1911 pattern. Skeletonized trigger, beavertail grip safety, extended thumb safety, and a checkered mainspring housing. The bore is bright and the lockup is tight.
For a collector who already has the Korth revolvers, this is the semi-auto that completes the shelf. Few of these reach the U.S. market, and fewer still in this configuration.
