Bravo Company Manufacturing, better known as BCM, builds AR-15 rifles and parts in Hartland, Wisconsin. The RECCE-11 MCMR is a compact 5.56mm build with an 11.5-inch barrel and BCM's MCMR handguard.
One point to know first. BCM classifies the RECCE-11 MCMR as an AR pistol, not a short-barreled rifle. The stocked, short-barreled version of this build is sold as the CQB 11 MCMR.
The barrel is 11.5 inches long in a standard government profile with a 1-in-7 twist, 1/2x28 threads and an M4 feed ramp barrel extension. BCM uses certified MIL-SPEC 11595E barrel steel with a chrome-lined bore and chamber, and a manganese phosphate finish on the whole barrel. It runs a standard carbine gas system with a USGI H buffer.
The upper and lower receivers are machined from 7075-T6 aluminum forgings and hard coat anodized, with a flat-top M4 feed ramp upper. The bolt carrier is machined from Carpenter 158 steel, high pressure tested and magnetic particle inspected, and chrome lined.
BCM fits its Gunfighter upgrades: the MCMR handguard, a BCM charging handle, the Compensator Mod 0, a BCM pistol grip, a QD end plate, BCM's PNT trigger and a BCM trigger guard. The fire controls are marked SAFE and SEMI.
BCM includes one magazine where allowed, a cable lock and a manual. The pistol measures about 27 inches long and weighs 5.1 pounds. If you want a light, well-made 11.5-inch AR from a maker known for hard-use parts, the RECCE-11 MCMR is a smart pick.
