Description
The Mauser P08 IWA ’83 Luger was produced to commemorate the 1983 IWA OutdoorClassics exhibition in Germany, pairing the classic Parabellum profile with a presentation-focused finish. Chambered in 7.65mm (.30 Luger), it reflects the original chambering associated with the early P08 design.
This example features extensive ornamental engraving across the receiver, sideplate, barrel extension, and small components. A satin-polished steel finish highlights the scrollwork while preserving the recognizable lines of the Luger platform.
Ivory-tone grips with polished medallion inlays add to the presentation appearance, while the controls show contrasting fire-blued-to-straw hues. The overall effect is detailed and refined, with finishing attention visible throughout the pistol.
The pistol is housed in a Mauser presentation case with burgundy velvet lining and fitted compartments. Included accessories consist of the factory cleaning rod, accompanying documentation, and the original Mauser test target (Anschuss-Scheibe).
Built around the Luger’s distinctive toggle-lock operating system, the IWA ’83 brings together historic design, commemorative purpose, and decorative factory finishing in a format closely tied to one of Germany’s best-known arms exhibitions.
