The Hilton Yam Custom “Delta” 1911 is an early 10-8 Performance Delta-series build based on a Springfield Armory WWII-spec pistol. Finished in matte manganese phosphate, it presents a subdued, purposeful look with details selected for practical function.
This build features a 10-8 Performance 416 stainless match barrel with a fitted bushing, along with a carefully lapped slide-to-frame fit for smooth operation. The controls follow a straightforward, service-oriented layout, including a strong-side-only safety, bobbed spur hammer, tuned ignition components, and a trigger set to approximately 4.75 lbs.
Sight configuration includes a 10-8 rear sight with a .140" notch and a serrated ramp front sight with a brass bead. A GI-style guide rod and 10-8 concave spring plug maintain a simple, serviceable setup.
Internal parts include an EGW tool steel sear, Wilson Combat Bulletproof extractor and firing pin stop, Ed Brown ejector and mainspring housing, and a Wolff spring system tuned for reliability. Dirty Olive 10-8 grip panels complete the build with a functional, understated finish.
This pistol is accompanied by its original green case, holster, and documentation signed by Hilton Yam.
