Prototype SIG P226 X-Five Hexagon

Description

The Prototype SIG P226 X-Five “Hexagon” was created by the SIG Sauer Mastershop as a design study for the IWA Show 2018, exploring new surface geometry, texturing, and a modern interpretation of the X-Five platform.

Its defining feature is the Hexagon-pattern serration work across the slide, executed in a precise repeating geometry that changes with light and viewing angle. The motif is carried throughout the pistol, giving the overall design a cohesive and intentional visual language.

The frame and slide are finished in a muted satin gray tone that highlights the machining and textured surfaces. Laminated grips add contrast and visual warmth, balancing the structured geometry of the metalwork.

Chambered in 9mm, this pistol pairs the familiar X-Five format with a distinctly experimental Mastershop treatment. It is accompanied by its original SIG Sauer Mastershop documentation confirming its role as a design study, and all numbered components are factory-matched.
