Description
The Star Bonifacio 30PK brings together Spanish manufacture and Colt-marked presentation in a way that stands apart from standard production examples. Made by Star Bonifacio Echeverria in Eibar, Spain, this pistol bears Colt Hartford, CT markings and reflects an interesting crossover between European design and the American market.
Chambered in 9mm, the Model 30PK was developed as Star’s response to demand for a modern double-action service pistol. This example is often referred to as a Colt Review Gun, a designation associated with a period when Colt evaluated or considered foreign designs for possible collaboration or import.
The pistol features a matte black finish with satin-finished controls, along with sharply checkered grip panels set with Star medallions. Its ergonomic frame, double-action trigger system, and slide-mounted safety reflect the service-pistol design language of the period while maintaining the distinct character of Star’s styling.
Included with the pistol are its original blue Star factory case and documentation, adding to the completeness of the package. A similar Star Bonifacio 30PK was featured on Forgotten Weapons.
