This Colt Sheriff’s Model Single Action Army was built in 2009 and features extensive custom engraving signed by Master Engraver John Adams Sr. The signature, “J. ADAMS,” appears near the cylinder pin, identifying the work.
Approximately 85% of the revolver’s surface is covered in floral scroll engraving over a punch-dot background. The design is complemented by barbed wire border details along the top strap and back strap.
Gold inlay accents include a 22-karat gold band at the muzzle, another at the end of the barrel, twin rings at the rear of the cylinder, and a gold stripe on the hammer. Sixteen cattle brand motifs are also incorporated into the decoration, including Broken Arrow, Horse Track, Walking 7, and Dollar Sign.
According to the included Adams & Adams Engravers letter of authentication dated February 23, 2011, the revolver has a blued finish, is chambered in .45 caliber, and is fitted with carved ebony grips by Dan Chesiak.
