A. Uberti, Srl. is an Italian firearms manufacturer based in Brescia, in northern Italy’s historic firearms manufacturing region, renowned for producing exceptionally high-quality reproduction and replica firearms based on classic American and European designs of the 19th century. Founded by Aldo Uberti in 1959, the company has grown into the world’s leading manufacturer of faithfully replicated historical firearms, producing reproductions of iconic revolvers and rifles that are prized by cowboy action shooters, collectors, and historical enthusiasts for their authenticity, quality, and attention to period-correct detail.
Uberti’s product catalog reads like a museum of 19th-century American arms, encompassing reproductions of the Colt Single Action Army and its predecessors, the 1873 Winchester lever-action rifle and its relatives, the 1860 Henry rifle, various Remington revolver designs, the Smith & Wesson Schofield, and many other historically significant arms. These reproductions are manufactured using modern machinery and metallurgy to produce firearms that are safe to use with modern ammunition while faithfully capturing the appearance, feel, and mechanical character of the originals.
The company supplies many of its reproductions to American importers, including Cimarron Firearms, Taylor’s & Company, and Stoeger, which market them under their own branding in the U.S. market. Uberti is also owned by Beretta Holding, the same parent company as Beretta, which provides access to considerable manufacturing resources and ensures the company’s long-term commercial stability.
Uberti’s revolvers and rifles are the dominant choice in Cowboy Action Shooting (CAS), the SASS-sanctioned competitive shooting discipline centered on period-appropriate firearms and costumes. The quality and reliability of Uberti’s products have made them the de facto standard of the discipline and have introduced countless shooters to the pleasures of 19th-century firearm designs.
