Browning Arms Company is synonymous with innovation, and for good reason: the company’s legacy is inseparable from that of John Moses Browning, arguably the most prolific and influential firearms designer in history. Founded in Ogden, Utah, and now headquartered in Morgan, Utah, Browning has been responsible for introducing many of the most important firearms designs of the modern era, including the Browning Automatic Rifle (BAR), the M1911 pistol, the M2 .50-caliber machine gun, and a vast array of shotguns and hunting rifles that remain in production today.

After his death in 1926, Browning Arms continued to license and manufacture his designs, primarily through FN, which remains a parent company today.
