Description
The Engraved Sphinx SDP Standard Inox is a stainless steel pre-series presentation example built on the SDP platform and chambered in 9mm Parabellum. Developed for the Jordanian Intelligence Service and intended for presentation to King Abdullah II of Jordan, this pistol reflects the refined mechanical design and visual restraint associated with Sphinx.
The slide and frame are engraved with flowing Arabic ornamental motifs that complement the clean lines of the pistol. Along the top of the slide, the emblem of the Jordanian Intelligence Service is engraved, reinforcing the purpose of this presentation piece.
Built in full stainless steel, the pistol features an SA/DA trigger system, an ambidextrous decocking lever, front and rear slide serrations, and a Picatinny accessory rail milled into the frame. The controls and magazine are finished in a contrasting blued tone, while black polymer grip panels with Kraton inserts and the Sphinx logo complete the overall presentation.
According to the source material, this example is one of two pre-series prototype presentation pistols produced during the development phase in Switzerland and used as the reference standard for the final order.
