Rogers Precision Colt Commander 1911

Description

Built on a Colt Commander foundation, this Rogers Precision 1911 brings together extensive hand-applied detailing, custom mechanical work, and the distinctive styling associated with Chuck Rogers. The build features Rogers’ signature golfball texturing, purposeful contouring, and a two-tone Parkerized and Cerakote finish.

Mechanical work includes laser-welded frame rails, a match-fitted Kart barrel, EGW barrel link, match bushing, and polished chamber and feed ramp. Rogers’ Bobnose package further refines the slide and barrel interface, with modifications to the bushing and recoil system along with a custom golf-balled recoil spring plug.

The slide receives a comprehensive treatment with press-check panels, ball cuts, small French borders, a re-worked slide stop notch with disassembly-notch dimple, re-engraved rollmarks, and a flattened top with double arrowhead pattern and golfball texturing. Additional details include medium bevels, a reshaped ejection port, and a barstock plunger tube.

On the frame, the pistol is configured with a high-cut, golf-balled front strap, golf-balled underside of the trigger guard, and a Brown’s bobtail mainspring housing golf-balled and wrapped into the frame. Controls include an extended, angled, golf-balled magazine catch; EGW ambidextrous thumb safety with custom-contoured golf-balled pads; Wilson “Concealment” grip safety with golfball pad; Wilson “Concealment” hammer; EGW sear, ball-head disconnector, and firing pin stop; and a Rogers semi-flat medium-length trigger with internally lightened body and golf-balled face. The fire-control system is finished with a crisp 3¾-lb trigger job.

Sighting equipment consists of a Rogers Whiteball front sight, full-width blended, and a Rogers Tier One rear sight with a 140° U-notch. The pistol is completed with custom Rogers logo grips and hex head screws.

Included are three matching magazines, Wolff springs throughout, and matching components and finishes across the major fitted parts.
