History of the HK P7 M13

Introduced in 1983, the P7 M13 followed the P7A13 and was developed around a larger double-stack magazine. The design incorporated a number of changes to support that configuration, including revisions to the frame and related components, while also adding features such as an ambidextrous magazine release, heat shield, plastic gas exhaust tube, and revised belt loop eyelet.

The model also returned to a narrower trigger profile similar to the P7M8. These updates helped define the P7 M13 as a distinct evolution within the P7 family, combining the platform’s compact format with increased magazine capacity and the characteristic engineering features for which the series is known.
