Documented by a factory letter from Colt Archive Properties, this Colt Trooper MK V is identified as an experimental prototype in nickel finish that was retained by the Colt factory.

Chambered in .357 Magnum, it is fitted with a 6-inch solid rib barrel with standard markings. The revolver features a factory nickel finish with blue-accented sights, along with varnished and checkered wraparound walnut stocks set with gold-plated Rampant Colt medallions.

The sideplate bears the Rampant Colt and “V” logo, tying the revolver to the MK V line. Included with the revolver are its factory presentation case, cleaning rod, brush, and the Colt factory letter.
